Martin, I am glad I only read about the tight tolerances AFTER re-doing my RL140s. I would have perhaps not attempted it! Having started with a pair of CX100s I moved on to the speaker in my LX2500 (no direct replacement listed but a close match found) and then tackled my RL140s. I found that lots and lots of clothes pegs to help keep it all in postion

I can't believe how quickly 18 months has passed since I started this thread. I would like to find out also if anyone has found anything interesting on a Beolink 7000. Are there any diverse functions available on one of those - for Avants, DVDs, later Beovisions etc etc.

Keep those CRTs going ! I still find a good one hard to beat.... Brian

I have owned my RL140s from new (at launch) having traded them in for a pair of RL60 that were the standard speaker with the BS 5000. I have replaced the foam on the 4 bass drivers myself and find the sound very pleasing, with a good bass. They are large (but not overly) - I have them on floor stands at present but have had them wall mounted in the

Which Beocord? Some of the models have a transformer that can be readily modifed (ie re wire a lead to the transformer) to take account of 220 / 110 volts which may be a better way forward . Brian

I have a 32" VHS Avant that does not play the tape - a grey screen appears. The controls all work via the TV or the remote (eject, play, forward, stop etc etc) and it works fine on the input from a DVD or the TV via a SCART. Does the last message imply that there is a scart connection for the internal VHS player that has come loose? Any thoughts

I am not near to the wall mounts for my RL140 so I can't be sure, but I think they are more like 15 cn by 15cm as these are heavy speakers. If you would like picture or details for either (wall or floor stands), please send me a pm Brian

Where could I obtain sw 1.3??

To provide a "match" with the need for records, CDs and casettes then you really have to look at the BM5500 / 6500 / 7000 or perhaps the BM5000 Add some RL140s Otherwise I would try the 6000/8000 and add a CDx then for speakers - the best Uniphase you can lay your hands on!

I wonder if anyone could help - if you were connecting a new TV to an older BM6500 or BM7000 (via a Convertor) would you connect the powerlink speakers to the TV or the 6500/7000? Would that be influenced if you watch more TV or listen to more CDs / vinyl?? Thanks for any help! Confused!
