Yes, dozens... Common failures of the BL1000 are: - corroded battery contacts - broken wires from the battery box - water, grease, dirt on the contact foil - dirt under the foil - activated knobs by water, salt, grease or dirt There are different BL1000 generations. The contact foil can be a seperate part or glued on the board. If it's seperate

Just the 4 red caps need Wima caps, all other are for the power supply. You can replace them with low ESR types, but this is not really necessary and the heat inside is moderate. There will be no difference. ... and dont forget the BurrBrown opamp OPA 2132 or OPA 2134

If it stops and turns off, then this is a fail safe function. Something is wrong with it's logic or power supply. Probably there is a power fail at higher load, usually some caps are gone on the lower mainboard around the power regulators. Another possibility could be, that the capstan motor causes overload by a defect coil or a hall sender in the

It's a very common problem, had it several times on some MX5000/3000. Bad electrolyth capacitors, they need replacement after this long time. Very common are also bad solders on the mainboard. Usually it takes 2-3 hours to rework the boards. As long as there were not burning sounds or smoke, it's pretty easy to repair. It's a Thomson ICC5

Yes, there is also a service information, that some types of the MX and Avant should be modified in that way, that the connector should be removed and the wires should be soldered directly on the board. But look at the pins inside the connector! They were not mounted correctly. Some of them are outside and have no contact to the pins of the board. Wrong

This is the CPU module. The RDS module would be on the other side...
