It's in both speakers and not that heavy if one of the left or right wires are broken (then the level would also be lower). It is there but not that dominant, if playing at normal volumes it is in the background, but becomes present at low volume parts of the music or during the pauses. After adding two more link rooms with TV's I have hum in the system :-( So my first guess was this could be related to ground loops from aerial connection on the one hand and ML connection on the other. As ML is a differential (is this the correct word?) bus I was wondering what the ground connection is for? Do you also experience such problems

The Stig - ver. 1.4: OK next step: ML cable is OK ML connectors did you put them on, or where they pre made or did you dealer make them? If the belt cable Pin 4 to 11 is to long it can hit the shield an be grounded and give this fault( ML tester can't test for this).. afaik it has a 8pin PL-input and therefore switches on an off with the system. The advantage is you don't have to deal with a mess of adapters but thats it. Design is related to individual taste..... Marcus

Peter: Did you know that when the Beo5 is configured to your set up, it also works out the option setting for your system and will update this automatically rather than you having to manually set the options?
