No it doesn't. It is set up for ise with B&O cartridges, which are Moving Iron (a type of Moving Magnet). Well you can buy a cheap plastic remote on eBay which will work - but I wouldn't! A Beolink 1000 would be a cheap but good remote and the Beo4 would be the standard remote. Both would work well and be easy to use.

The Avant has active speakers so each driver has its own amplifier. Sounds more like a solder or connection problem but will need tracing - TVs are pretty dangerous items to play with due to the very high voltages - if you are not experienced, take it to be serviced.

It will work on the source it is attached to - it varies the line level input so it won't work on the record player. I confess to not really knowing why you want to do this. I would get a remote control B&O system so you can control all the sources and the volume. The Beolab 8000 system will actually give you better sound quality in truth. Part

Mine seems completely fine. Using Grado headphones , stereo is fine and no clipping. My set up of computer is very simple though - maybe you have some sort of software clash. Tried all sorts of tracks but no obvious problem.
