• Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Rolling Stones. "Tattoo You." In the garage. On tape.

  • Re: Dude, where's my BC1900?

The Friendly Local Used Record Store has countless cassettes in addition to CDs, LPs, 45s, DVDs, laserdiscs, VHS tapes, etc. Picked up three today (cassettes are $4 each or 3 for $10). So far, the BC1900 has played the Rolling Stones' Tattoo You just fine. In fact, it sounds rather great!

  • Re: THIS must be rare (or not)?

Quite a beautiful model, Martin. Oh, hey, there's a radio in the picture!

  • Re: Missed that one!

I've been watching U.S. Ebay pretty closely for about a year now. Almost every day (yes, I know, "get a life") I search for "olufsen" and get about 850 hits. Of these, a good 2/3 are ads, manuals, cables and of little interest. So, some 200 to 300 decent pieces are for sale in the U.S. any given day. The good pieces seem to be

  • Re: BeoGram 4000 Restoration

I wish I could offer help; alas, I can't, but I offer best of luck. My 4002 after service had many a night of flawless playback, one weird night where it had an attitude, then flawless operation since. I hope my 4002 gremlin didn't find its way to your deck.

  • Re: Flash your B&O!
After discovering a few kids are interested in B&O on my Formula SAE team, I decided to bring my Serene to the shop yesterday. I just thought I would post the reaction..
Looks to me like the OSU SAE workshop needs, oh, a BM2400 with an iPod cable hooked up to the tape input and a pair of S45-2s.

My art is boxed away in the garage until the next move. I have original watercolors from local artists from San Tropez, Paris, Rome, and San Francisco. I miss my paintings.
Do you collect watercolours of the cities you have lived in or visited and loved ? We have a few like that

  • Re: new here...help with s45 speakers please

I can't speak for outside the U.S., but I've been watching Ebay U.S. almost every day for at least a year. For the Uniphase era of Beovox loudspeakers, every tenth pair or so will have the matching stands. Those pairs which do have the stands sell for more than double what those which don't. You don't mention stands, so I assume you

The problem is that my Father is beginning to flood the house with more B&O! Thanks to me, he now has 3 complete Beosystems and some loose Beomasters lying around
Unfortunately, my father is not as enthusiastic about B&O
Ah, the folly of youth. Wait
