tom: I have to join Andy on this one. I like the BL7-2 with the BV7-40, but I think the BL7-1 does not look bad at all. As allways, it is a question of taste. If you're not careful, i'll start a poll !!!

I think personally the speaker 'overhang' makes the TV what it is - it's this design statement that makes it different to all other TV's, and gets it away from that 'boxy' look. However, we are all different and have different tastes, and as long as the end user is happy the purchase is a success! Lee

Sorry your Avant has gone all quiet on you - and to be honest although there is a mute function on the Beo4 (where the volume 'rocker' button is - push it dead in the centre) i would have though turning the TV off and on again would cancel this. First thing i'd have done is get the hoover out and hold the 'crevice tool' over the buttons! This usually sucks out most of the remaining liquid.. Then, lay it on a warm radiator for a day - then leave it for a day. Then, cross your fingers! I'm sure there are more technical answers, and probably correct ones! - but that's my opinion

soundproof: Though I do remember reading from member(s) here who bought the 7-40 with the 7.1, because they found the 7.2 to be too wide ... Ruins the designers intended look, and Mr Lewis would be seriously unimpressed i'm sure! Lee

You're spot on Alex - getting a new grille fixes pretty much 100% of dented grilles.. Pushing it back, which Alex rightly refers to, is a bit hit and miss - but you may actually fluke a perfect repair and save yourself some money. However, when buying, a dented grille means a discount to the value of a new grille. Sorry i didn't specify why
