  • Re: The little mermaid

Depends what sort! The early ones are really not worth having! And watch for dicey power bricks on the later ones! I bought two new ones some time ago. Not regretted it for a second.

  • Re: Beolit 39 market value?

Difficult to say - Martin can give you a better idea - but several hundred dollars I would guess.

  • Re: help with beogram

The cartridge is the needle and coil assembly that converts the undulations in the grooves of the record into electrical signal. In your case it is probably a MMC20S . The problem with these is that they can break in a number of different ways. The diamond can get broken or worn and this will cause the needle to track badly giving a distorted sound

If you fancy a trip to Newcastle some time, I can have a look and have a number of spare cartridges and a spare deck or two to practice with.

Not sure about that. There are indeed four types but the ABCD seems to be some sort of counter. One of my older Beo4s gives the following reading: A:OFF3H B:0487H C:OOE4H D: 0084H CONT:04 Thoughts?

  • Re: Connecting Beovox 4500 Panel speakers to a Beocenter unit or a MCL2P

The 9300 and Ouverture and MCL2P will be almost identical in sound as the amplifier in the MCL2P and 9300 are almost identical and the CD players and cassette players should also be roughly the same (there were changes during the life of the models). The 4500 speaker must be wall mounted. It does not have a completely flat frequency response in that

That is almost the same as my newest one. I think it is EE6.10. No idea what the A,B,C and D are for.

  • Re: Terminal 3000, does it work System3300

No. Despite looking almost identical, the remotes use completely different codes. The Beolink 1000 will work the Beosystem 3300 though.

The most recent software is 5.00 and the most recent operation data is EE6.22. To find out which it has, press LIST and STAND BY at the same time and then MENU and GO at the same time. Then use LIST to scroll through the options. The very latest has an option for DTV2 in the LIST. Externally there will be V.MEM and A.MEM buttons and the DTV button.
