• Re: Lack of bass in Beovox mc120.2

The service manual is sadly lacking from the site (or I just cannot find it), so I don't know how the crossover looks like. However, I guess you could just take a look at them; if there are burnt resistors, those should be pretty obvious. There is also the possibility that the "new" drivers are totally unsuitable for the job and therefore
Even if the foam are rotten on the original drivers, and even if i try other 8-inch drivers in the speakers, there should be some amount of bass. I wonder if the crossovers are faulty. Anyone who has experienced something like this on similar speakers and solved it with a change of capacitors?
Caps won't

  • Re: SMMC4

I got the basic elliptical stylus, so 99,- euros (plus postage one way, had an SP6/7 in the same work order so Axel didn't charge for delivery). IMHO that money was spent much better than on a similar priced unknown condition MMC2 off eBay! And I'm still very happy with the SMMC4 as well, but if you have to pay overseas customs & taxes,

  • Re: B and O on Amazon

I believe B&O has had a presence in US Amazon for a long time now? In the past, there were mostly earphones on sale. I see all the current items are still relatively "small".

  • Re: Straightening warped records

Well I guess most of them have a height adjustment - but then the pickup to record angle won't be correct anymore. I don't want my straight records to sound worse just so I can play an odd Rolling Stones compilation I've inherited

  • Re: How independant is Beoworld?

Oh, it's this time again... I also agree that Sven has raised a valid point. However, I'd also assume he has broken some kind of an agreement when getting and then publishing that picture in any case. I can fully understand if Bananas & Oranges wanted to have the pic removed, or even if some moderator self-censored it away even before receiving

  • Re: Locating the Aux input Beocenter 9500

Well, how about the connector marked "TV/AUX", smack in the middle? If it doesn't work simply selecting "AUX" from the panel, there's some other problem with your setup. On a Beolink 1000, you select it with SHIFT-RADIO. If you don't have any B&O video equipment, you could program the Beocenter to option 2, and then

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 CPU module (or a complete parts unit)

Last chance before the skip is calling (or something completely different happens...). Just for clarity, I do not want to buy a working Beomaster 5000 or anything else that it might come with - I don't like it that much - I want to fix this one I have already

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 Tape 2 light stays on

I took a quick look in the schematic as I happened to have it spread out anyway... It seems that this fault can't be too complicated if everything else works normally. It's either a short circuit on the board (dunno how that could happen spontaneously) or the MM5450 IC that controls the LEDs has a pin stuck low. The chip, although being quite

  • Re: Beovision 3 - does scart lead affect picture format ?
I did a quick 'Google' of the Sky Digibox issue and almost immediately a site was telling me that only ONE of the two scart connections on a digibox has pin 8 wired - the 'TV' one. A check of where I was plugging the lead into the Sky box revealed I had always connected to the top connection which is marked
