  • Re: Stereo sound input on BV 7

Obviously I can't compare directly, as the BeoVision 7 uses a DVD mechanism instead of a dedicated CD mechanism and hence the signal the DAC is going to be fed isn't going to be as great as in the Overture. However, this effect is very small, so I'm going to say the Overture's DAC is better than the BeoVision 7's, but not massively

  • Re: Witch one of Beosound 3000 and beosound 4 have best sound quality?

The FM radio in the BeoSound 4 seems better, and there also seems to be a change in the sound of the CD player, although I may be imagining things! Both, as said have MasterLink and PowerLink. PowerLink is for connecting speakers, and MasterLink is for sending music around the house into different rooms. One advantage the BeoSound 4 has in terms of

  • Re: Beolink Passive stability of amp

It's a very good amplifier, just don't expect thunderous dynamics! Considering it's rather limited power (30 watts per channel I believe), it's surprisingly capable. No house parties, and no big difficult-to-drive speakers though. It will be fine with 2 pairs of easy-to-drive speakers up to moderate volumes...

  • Re: Stereo sound input on BV 7

TOSLink is a fibre optic cable, and COAX is an electrical connection, and the converters are very cheap (mine was GBP30). However, the issue is not the connection - it's that the Airport Express outputs stereo audio through it's digital connection, which the BeoVision 7 will not accept - it can ONLY take 5.1 audio (surround sound). You could

  • Re: subwoofer

I'd go for it. I've only ever heard 2 Velodyne subs (can't remember the model names), but they were both very impressive! Not as loud as the BL2, but definitely faster and more detailed, and they were much cheaper (although very ugly). It should integrate fine with the BSys1, just get a PowerLink to Line cable (your dealer can supply), and
