....mr anders(son): ...but if you can use Bl1000..... beo4/5000/7000/5 will also work? Yes, Beo4/5/5000 & 7000 will all work. What I don't know is if they will work in two-way or one-way only. From what I have seen of the unit it uses the MCL connections to control the Beomaster. Craig

If you can get one. There was a unit which allowed you to control a Beosystem 5000 with a BL1000. These are however very rare, I have only ever seen one on Ebay in the last 4 Years or so. Peter has one, not sure if it works two way though. Craig

In the last episode of season one of CSI. There is a Beocenter 2500 or similar and a pair of Lab 8000's. Strangely it is connected to a Graphic equilizer. Craig

Reminds of the setup I had where I lived a ferw years back. My PC was in the spare Bedroom. It was connected to a Beomaster 2000 playing through a pair of CX100,s. From the tape out connectiion ran a lead to the the Living Room. Where my it connected to the Aux on my main System. Craig

Have you tried to connect a source other than your T.V. to the A.Aux connection. If you have and it works O.K. I would say the problem is with the T.V. Might also be worth trying anothe cable. A few years back after moving some furniture around, I required a longer cable to connect my PC o my system. When I connected a new cable, I had the same problem

Seems like a very good buy to me. Well I would be very happy if I had paid that price anyway. In answer to your second question I think it will only work with the MCP 5000 and Terminal 5000 remotes. Craig

Recently I purchased a 250GB External Hard Drive made by Freecom. They do a 500GB Drive designed for use with a MAC. Here is a link for you. 500GB Mac Hard Drive Sorry as I don't have any experience with Macs I cannot answer you second question. Craig

Well just to update the situation for anyone who has this problem in the future. What was wrong was that I had not used Windows Media Player. As the two programs work together. It seems that I first needed to set up the Library in Media Player first. Craig

Great idea, but I would be scared of leaving it parked anywhere. Craig

j0hnbarker: On a more mundane note, I haven't checked the dashpots on my SUs yet. From what I remember on the V8 you use sewing machine oil in them - is this right Peter? Normal 3 in 1 oil should be fine for the job. Used it several times on different cars with Su's. You can get carb oil but I have never bothered. Craig
