Nevermind - why not hang full-size photo's of Lab 9's where you would have stood them if B&O had used a picture of yours that you hadn't already posted on their site Sorry

Alex: B&O has shown they can make outstandingly good commercial speakers such as the BeoLab 5s and BeoLab 9s for the money they cost, and they definitely had this in their interests a while back. I'd like to see them produce a professional grade speaker designed specifically for studio use (BeoLab 5s have the right sound, but they aren't

It's small enough to hide round the back Plus it's got input converters for recording analogue and a whole raft of recording/editing software bundled with it. Admittedly it's intended for home studio use but you cannot deny the quality of the output DAC esp. given the price.

Coolskin: Did you see the movie i'Robot? The doctor tried to switch of the stereo of with her voice... What if B&O products could have a voice interface. I can see the benefits with audio and info displayed on the BV7. Imagine to be in a lounge mood. Just say "radio jazz". Next on the BV7 screen from top to bottom you will find "radio"

The original cable to which Peter refers was a B&O supplied accessory and was, if I remeber correctly, constructed as a "balanced" connection. I would ask at my dealer if such a cable is still sold before I contemplated making my own - I'm sure they weren't expensive at the time. This is the part I remember - we used it to connect

Although they're way out of my price-league, I do believe the Lab 5's are spectacularly good value in the "audiophile" price bracket. If you feed them digitally then add up how much you'd need to spend for competitors preamp/amp/speaker combinations with equivalent sound quality. My guess is that the Lab 5's would be at least

Peter : Don't see why not! Just don't play them both at the same time! You need a splitter cable. You could use the CD/Tape adapter which allowed you to do this with machines like the Beomaster 2400 as it didn't have that many inputs. In that case it was switched so that you couldn't play them both together! I would suggest you definitely

"Invisible" speakers - full range "picture frame" speakers (I'll allow an ALT lens) As lovely as Lab 5's are, they're not for everybody (i.e. most wives) Imagine a wafer thin BL5000 with "new technology" proper base driver that was wall-independant (or at least calibratable a la BL5) that could accommodate user
-
....mr anders(son): I shall phone and ask them to send me a pair of BL5, instead of sue them ....or maybe they could send me some nice B&O merchendise I wouldn't mention the merchandise, let them make an offer first - after all you're a profeshnial. btw - I only asked for Lab 9's to appear reasonable - I didn't want to appear opportunistic
-
I think I'd mention to them that a pair of Lab 9's would be suitable recompense
