I agree with Chris in sending them in for repairs. Unless you paid a huge amount for them in the first place, in which case I would consider going for a refund. Martin

The 2200's are also quite good speakers but of course, better suited for shelve use. The 1001's have fittings at the backside for wallmounting, both horizontal and vertical. Martin

The Beovox 1001 are two-way speakers, have Peerless and SEAS drivers and are actually very well-sounding for their size. I've used a pair at work everyday for 10 years or more, driven by a Beomaster 901 and countless visitors commented on their pleasant sound. Check the other caps on module 16 (power supply), where you already replaced C1. Martin

I haven't found any good replacements for those potentiometers. My advice would be to give it another go, and use a better glue and/or clean better. I've repaired countless and never saw an already glued one back here. Clean everything, the brass parts should be rough'ened a bit using a glasshair brush or similar, and then superglue it back
