The answer is really simple but a little unfortunate - a Beomaster 5000 will not work with a Beolink 1000, or any of the later remotes! It uses a completely different IR carrier frequency and probably different command codes as well. The only remotes that will work are a MCP 5000 (again, none of the later Master Control Panels will work!) or a Terminal
