I assume you do mean the BeoVision 6 22" which is no longer in production, and NOT the BeoCenter 6 23" which replaced it? There's a very very large difference between the two, mainly in terms of performance. A BeoVision 8 will outperform a BeoVision 6 without much difficulty, however the BeoCenter 6 (if you do mean it) is a step ahead of both in terms

Seems a silly suggestion, but both speakers are set to LINE in aren't they?

The first generation iMacs seem very good! It's just the MacBook Pro which really seems to have suffered badly! Some of the MacBooks experienced random shutdowns, but other than that, the rest of the Apple lineup was pretty reliable when it was first released.

It does worry me though that they are becoming more and more commercial. They used to be a much more personal, exclusive company, wheras now they are becoming more like Hateway Gateway and Hell Dell. Soon they'll be announcing Winfroze as their primary OS...

What speakers are you driving with the 5000 setup? I really must hear a reconditioned one of these at some point!

Yes, I seem to remember quite a while back there was an extensive thread about issues with the touch-sensitive units on the top, it might have been on the old forum because I can't seem to find it. I thought the problems had been ironed out, but maybe not!

If the triangle was a rectangle instead, I'd like it. It just looks a bit contradictory to the Beo4's more straight-edged design.

Here is some more info. Obviously you don't need to do this yourself. An engineer should be able to, but it shows there is a way of solving your issue.

I'd hazard a guess and say yes - the Sony is outputting a low-leve hiss or buzz when off. I seem to remember though that there was a known error with some BeoLab 6000s in which the 'threshold' for on and off was set too low. Keith Saunders is the person to ask about that, he goes by that username on the forum, I'm sure he'll pop
