You could try 0000 as the pin. Maybe it's been activated but not changed from default. Other wise wait until you hear from Keith Saunders. He's a bit of an expert on these things! The back up battery for the memory has failed. Cheap and easy replacement but you need to be used to working inside a TV. There are dangerous voltages present even with the set turned off and disconnected from the mains. The replacement battery costs around £3 and is soldered to a board in 3 places.

The metalwork is stainless steel not aluminium and is held on with double sided sticky tape, just peel off and replace! The biggest panels are around £60 in the UK and all are still available from B&O dealers.
