A 8-10mm long 3mm screw from below through the hole, a thin and not too wide washer and a nut on top and a bit of superglue to lock it. Then the spring will grip nicely around the threaded screw shaft. And you're right, superglue doesn't work on ABS plastics. Martin

Also worth noting that some servicemanuals gives a wrong place for measuring the laser current (sometimes also referred to as focus current, which is confusing). Martin

Jens, I agree and that was also what I suggested on april 29th and indeed the most likely and often seen reason. However, since the amplifier module works in another BM6000, the owner wanted to look for the fault elsewhere. I'm still not convinced though, I've seen too many BM6000's... Martin

The worn lettering .. I think it's because of the way the lettering is printed on the metal. These early machines are practically the only ones to suffer from this. The later ones (Beomaster 3000/901 etc..) never see this problem. Fredes new panels have the lettering integrated in the eloxation if I understand the process correctly, so would be

Some almost fit the drivers they were bought for. But please understand that what you are buying are spare parts, which means that it will take some

Gordon, The voltage is not the huge problem, it's essential that it's clean and free from ripple and noise. You have a message regarding capacitor kit, check your inbox in the top right corner. Martin

I agree with Peter, the cartridge could be the sole reason. Having said that, the phono input is the most sensitive in the Beomaster, so is usually the first to be affected by f.e. an unstable power supply. I would grab a capacitor kit and replace the lot. Aging caps are the cause for the majority of faults in these wonderful machines. I'm sure
