i am confused... i thought the 6th gen ipod and all later apple mobile devices were locked from video output on 3rd party devices?

barryrose: Thanks for the very quick response, as mentioned the comment about the Beolab 3500 being used as a centre speaker was from a friend of a friend so had no idea if it was true or not, so I can guess from your response it is highly unlikely. first, welcome to beoworld! second, yes the bl3500 CAN be used as a center with a powerlink connection

seanklemis: 1) is it possible to take the insides of the beo4 out so io can clean the front esier as its a b**ch to do with cottom buds every now and then yes, but be careful when extracting and reinstalling the rubber keypad -potential tear. also, the plate is very "soft" -very easily bent, and don't be too agressive w/ the cleaning.

if you can locate a fifth generation ipod -the release before they started calling them "classic" it will work. probably not too expensive on ebay, etc... of course you could also go for an apple tv...
