The little rubber feet on the base of the Beolink 1000. Very simple and elegant idea which protects your remote and whatever you are placing it on and has been lost on the Beo4. It's these tiny attentions to detail that I really like. Chris.

Peter: The following cartridges are interchangeable: MMC3000,4000,5000,6000,20S,20E,20EN,20CL and SP15. Obviously some are better than others! The MMC3000,4000,5000,6000 and SP15 will be very old by now. There's also the MMC10E which is actually a MMC20E with a different number. I seem to remember something about it being released in the USA only

It is always going to be a bit of a lottery buying these old B&O cartridges (or new old stock ones) from any source these days. It is well documented that the suspension is unreliable after such a long time whether used or not. The only real way to ensure you are getting a reliable cartridge is to buy from Soundsmith I'm afraid - but they are

Some button poish applied to the bare wood will enhance the grain a treat. Follow with a rub down with steel wool to flatten the surface before applying Danish oil. Chris.
