We have an MX5500 as a Bedroom TV and it is perfect for the job. Connected to a Freeview box the picture is superb, even now. One thing to remember about the MX2000 is that it uses the older Beovision Terminal (Mars Bar) remote. Where the others use the Beolink1000 or Beo4. If you cannot get it to work through the DVD Player. You could always use an RCA to Scart connector. RCA/Scart Connector Craig

You need a fully wired Powerlink cable so that it switches on and off with the BS3000. Craig
