The Naim Nait 5i will have no problems driving M100s as it has very good characteristics at driving difficult loads - the M100s do dip into the low values of impedance.

Not easily with the MCL82 system you have but if you use your BC9000 and MCL2, what you need is a MCL2AV with an MCL2P amplifier and you will get separate volume control for the external speakers.

There is supposed to be a modification that can be made to the MCL82 boxes which allow there use in a MCL2 system but this was told to me by a B&O service engineer who has long since retired and I have no futher details. Actually I use a Beogram 4004 with my Beomaster 5500 all the time! I have never liked the light weight decks and I prefer the sound I get from the earlier cartridges. You have the clean the record each time so the lack of remote control is not a problem. Besides,it looks so much nicer!

As I understand it, the lintronic box is but one way to access the codes. I believe that there are others which are cheaper. Once the codes are in the system, doesn't the Beo5 rather render the lintronic box superfluous?
