  • Re: Beolab 8000 IEC-Power?

And ultimately I think the B&O engineers know more about this than us. If they felt the BeoLab 8000s needed changing to ICE Power, they either would have done it by now or will do so shortly.

  • Re: A powerlink to RCA adapter? (connecting Ouverture to non-B&O amp)

Unfortunately not! The 804s are very power hungry and you'll want something with considerably more driving power. They're very musical speakers and when you match them with a good amplifier, the music just seems to jump out at you. I could recommend either a Naim NAP 200 for a top-budget amp, a Rotel RB-06 for something a bit more affordable or if you

  • Re: BeoLink 5000 compatible with current B&O??

lawrencejmcook: What I love about my Beolink 5000 is that I can use it in the dark - can't do that with a Beo4. Also, it enables programming of my BS4500, and more sophisticated programming of my BC9500 - all while being more portable than my Beolink 7000. Although bear in mind that programming is no longer an advantage when used in one-way mode

  • Re: BeoSound 6 first picture and details

Which iPod are you referring to? I agree with you if it's older iPods, below the 5th generation, but my 80gb video has a poorer amplifier section and hence tends to yelp a bit at higher volumes and hence can be very fatiguing at higher volumes. IMO, overall the BS2 sounds better with 192 or even 256 compressed music than the iPod ever could.

  • Re: BeoLab 4000,- now driven by ICEpower!

Not necessarily. Yes of course equalisation requires a much greater output, but just because the measured output has decreased, it doesn't mean you're going to end up with less driving capability. Either way, the reports so far seem to indicate that the ICE Powered BeoLab 4000s now produce more low frequency (whether this is just more extended, or a

  • Re: Beolab 8000 IEC-Power?

Rather than look at specifications and technology, I suggest you listen to the difference. If ICE Power BeoLab 8000s ever come out, I doubt you will see a remarkable difference between the older and newer versions, otherwise B&O would have upgraded them by now, or are in the process of doing so. Either way, when BeoLab 8000s are set up and placed correctly

  • Re: Need help connecting iPod to Avant

Connect your iPod to the connections hidden behind the little plastic cover found in the top right, just below the controls. Just pull the plastic cover off. Press LIST and cycle through until you see CAMERA on the display. Press GO and tada! It works (hopefully) If your Beo4 never shows CAMERA, then press STANDBY and LIST at the same time, and cycle

  • Re: BeoLink 5000 compatible with current B&O??

Maybe it was just the one I tried? To me, it felt like some of the very first Beo4s, which weren't that impressive. It felt lightweight, and kind of plasticy...
