9 LEE: However, i'm certainly not saying London isn't friendly. I just find that in most central parts, you are a tourist amongst tourists! Lee Ah - that's what I was trying to say in my usual North/South divide jealous way. I'll contact KingStreet (you have a PM) for a definate date then. Chris.

I don't think there is any definate reason for this. I've come across speakers of the same age & type with varying degrees of foam rot from nil to complete disintigration. I suspect it is a manufacturing anomily with some foam surrounds simply being better produced than others. Chris.

pedrompinto: Hummm.. could it be central london ? Perhaps i could buy a plane ticket and drop by... :) As it would be King Street hosting the meeting then Manchester is really the only option for the venue. London isn't really the centre of the universe as far as us Brits are concerned There are plenty of options as far as flights & connections

B&O of King Street Manchester have very generously offered to provide a venue for an inaugural North West of Engalnd Beowrld meeting. Hi Steve, if you've refoamed drivers before then ignore this, but if you want any help with this feel free to drop me a line as I've done more than my fair share. It's the straps that appear on ebay every so often. The red lettering is the speaker model which is printed on the lower of these straps. Reclothing is possible as I've done it myself with good results but it isn't very easy. Lots of screws to undo to sperate the cabinet and gluing the cloth back into the front to recreate the Bang &

meandmyshadow: Hi Peter, You have a PM Shouldn't you be working?
-
Well I've got to question 15 - unfortunately it is by default and there are a few answers missing between there & question 3 It is a good excercise in site navigation though and impresses just how good a reference site Beoworld is Chris.

Dillen: 50 dollars - where did you get that figure ? Yeah - I thought this sounded a little high

I'm not 100% sure but I think the RL60.2's have rubber surrounds as opposed to the foam surrounds of the earlier RL60's so rot shouldn't be an issue here. EDIT: - I've just re-read your post and it seems you have the RL60's so yes they do suffer foam rot unfortunately Chris.
