• Re: Any Beoworlder in Kittila, Finland?

There doesn't seem to be that many Finnish members in general, and Kittilä is a sparsely populated place (even by local standards) so not too likely! I suppose you're going to stay at Levi, which is a popular winter holiday resort though, so you're not going to be alone there. The area holds our frost record: -51.5°C in 1999 - but

  • Re: Beoworld - Facebook group

I personally wouldn't mind, but I'm not sure if I would join - although it's not a big secret, I don't want every casual by-surfer to find out my real identity, and i believe a lot of people think the same. I do have a lot of FB friends from here, but they are mostly the same folks who frequent the Wednesday thread. But I think it's
Sorry - wasn't aware i broke any rules.
Actually you didn't. As the guidelines of this subforum say (everybody should review them), auction links may be allowed at moderators' discretion. Our current interpretation is that it is usually OK, if the item has been up for grabs over here for a while

Can't say I've noticed any of these problems - except the long cantilever. Can't use the flip-down stylus protector, as the stylus won't fit inside it!
But really you shouldn't be able to notice the use of loudness at all, which I guess is why it has such a bad name!
Sort of... there are of course different implementations of the operating curve, and some might prefer one over another. But you can't really call any of them "correct", as loudness
At higher volume levels, the loudness function stops (at 25-30 on the scale)
That is exactly what "loudness" is supposed to do! If you want more bass through the scale, crank up the bass!
This might be a different story to what the stores see, but considering how proud of their houses women are, i would have thought they were missing a trick in not trying to entice this potential customer base. Money can't be an option because most of the girls from my work tear past me in Audi TT's etc whilst i'm

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen woos women with 'female interaction' study

Are we in back in the 1950's? Reminds me of a study that was made on newspaper items about road accidents. If the driver was female, the wording implied that it was caused by driver interaction a lot more often than if the faulty party was male - in the latter case, it was the car that veered off the road, etc. Don't know if people that actually
