• Re: Will we 'own' music in future?

Remember, some young people have never used the word 'record' (as in disc) and have no memory or concept of what such a thing ever was, unless of course they consult a history book (online of course). Similarly, most very young people only know of a CD because their parents have them at home. They don't buy them nor do they ask for them

Nope, I will never do cloud computing in any way form or fashion. It's either a very brave, very shortsighted, or very foolish person who says an unqualified 'never'.

  • Re: BV10-40, some pictures and thoughts after 2,5 weeks with it.
Thanks! We use the Rais stove for heating. Not the open fireplace. That hardly provides any heat at all. We have an air handling unit which privides fresh and clean indoor air. It has a rotary heat exchanger which uses the warm air from the livingroom to warm up fresh air from outside, and distribute warm, clean air to

Great pictures, thanks. Agree somewhat about the pictures on the wall, but as with everything, it's personal taste. Overall, everything looks great. About the fire, what heat does it provide to the rooms? Does it give out any direct heat? If so, to where? The living areas seem far from it!

  • 4500 system on eBay - what a mess!

Stumbled across this complete 4500 system for sale on eBay. How could anyone set up this beautiful (IMHO) system in such a manner? Also, the speaker positions. I'm speechless! http://tinyurl.com/ybj66dz
loewe are a sony with bits of plastic stuck on no way are they in the same league as bno
Steady on! I don't think I said or inferred in any way that they were. To continue the sporting metaphor, they may not be in the same 'league', but they play the same game, albeit perhaps to a different

As with B&O, you pay your money and make your choice. If the reviewer thinks this set with an in-built PVR is expensive, goodness knows what he or she would rate the 'value' of B&O!

  • Re: Samsung LED TV
We gave a customer £500 trade-in for his 3 week old Samsung LED! Not a bad picture but sound was awful and we actually ran it next to our B&O sets for a few weeks to showcase just how bad the connectivity and sound was! People were amazed how poor the sound was of the Samsung.
Did you also point out

  • Re: Broken CD player on Beocenter 9500
Hello Tony. Kind words indeed from Chris, now I've got to live up to them! Chris is quite correct in his analysis of the fault and of most B&O service centres - the price they quoted was diabolical and probably designed to drive you away. You could try cleaning the laser lens which, in many cases, is enough
