You will need a seperate preamp. The two missing prongs are for datalink remote control. You may well need these but I couldnt tell you if the deck will operate via remote with a 2500 ststem. I am sure someone will come on that does know the answer to that part of your question.

Thats just the way I would of described the CDX. Not quite as "clinical" as other cd players, giving a more analogue or natural sound to my ears. I also use mine with my Beolab 5000 set up with Beovox Penta's. I havent listened to many super expensive CD players except an old Naim CD1 (if i remember rightly) but have yet to find one that

Im going to be picking up a BV7 on motorised stand with 7.1 in a few days and want to know how best to transport it and what I have to do to get the stand/speaker off so it fits in the car. Its a big car (volvo estate) so space shouldn't hopefully be a problem but what tools will I need to dismantle the thing and is it easy to do. Im presuming the

The tape could well be the belts which are available and not too difficult to replace. With the CD player, firstly remember that the disk goes in "upside down" compared to all cd players now days so try that first and it may cure your problem!
