• Re: New products & revisions of existing products for 2009 - information, will BV10 include Blue Ray player?
The link room audio system for BS5 sounds interesting. Wonder what the point of it is though if the rumored two way remote comes into existence...
After reading all the posts and getting hints from my dealer I have a sneaky suspicion that the two way remote and the link room BS5 interface are the same. If I'm

  • Re: Beosound 3 earthing.... through me??

We used to have this with certain appliances (Washing machine etc.) until we did a major renovation and built a more robust grounding arrangement at the point of electrical entry on the house. Curiously, we've got a half acre of blueberries on a hill with big, high-voltage power lines crossing our property above them. While still on the bush they

  • Re: What camera do you use?
I do it for a living, too (Nikon DSLR stuff). My vote goes to the Panasonic DMC-FX3. It's a fantastic camera - no grief, just great results.
I love this camera too! I bought my wife the leica version ( I know, I know) and couldn't believe how much I loved using it. I know it's not up to snuff on all

  • Re: Beovision 8 & STB problem

Thanks JK. I was actually thinking of the ATSC module in the BS3 that is hardwired to the DTV input. My hope was that it's ability to be disabled in the service menu might be relevant in Claes' situation. It sounds like it probably is not and as you pointed out the US/EU versions appear to be very different animals.

Also, my dealer tells me that they have put a request in to denmark to let the TV button to be freely assigned to any input. May also come in that software update
Claes, That will NOT be possible until they stop using analogue tuners
Keith, Does this mean that it

  • Re: 5.08:alot of red

I thought I would post an update. As others pointed out there was indeed a problem with the update and we ended up attempting it several times without success until we tried updating the software incrementally one update at a time. We only needed to do the more important updates to the software (which ended up being 3 installs for mine) and once those

I just realized that I'm probably going to get flamed for misrepresenting the cost of a Nikon system in my previous post. I do realize that you can get a quality Nikon/Canon system for far less. However, in the context of the top of the range SLR system (that would be acceptable

I just realized that I'm probably going to get flamed for misrepresenting the cost of a Nikon system in my previous post. I do realize that you can get a quality Nikon/Canon system for far less. However, in the context of the top of the range SLR system (that would be acceptable on agency type shoots) I feel this is an accurate reflection of the

Surprisingly many Leica M8's here! We clearly have good taste on this forum.
and money...
I actually bought the M8 from the perspective of saving money. I know some people give it a bad rap for being a toy for rich people. I, however, actually made the purchase

  • 5.08:alot of red

Just got updated on BS3/BV4 at the dealer. Noticing alot of red in the SW version menu screen . I recall that someone had mentioned that certain lines might be red on one of the newer software builds but this seemed a bit more than I would expect. My dealer is super cool for installing this at my request but we weren't able to check it at the shop
