Thanks Marcel, The cables will be on their way to you tomorrow morning. Please let me know how you get on with fitting them to the Beovox 2500 speakers. If you need any assistance, just ask! Best regards, Steve.

Hi, You need a 2pin power cable for each speaker, which has a plug shaped like a number 8. The signal to the speakers is sent by a Powerlink cable that has 8 pin DIN plugs fitted at each end. Again, you need one cable per speaker. You can use any type of Powerlink cable (mark 1, 2 or 3) for Beolab 8000. These are freely available from eBay, your local

Hello Frede, I have now found my micrometer and the outside dimensions of those cables are actually smaller than I first thought, so yes, they should fit:- My cable size = 2.16mm x 4.22mm Original cable size = 2.0mm x 4.3mm Beovox 2500 stand inner diameter = 4.4mm Best regards, Steve.

Hi Dave, this should work fine. OK, so it's maybe not an ideal approach electrically, but it should give you the result you need. I can't immediately think of an alternative solution with the equipment you have. You need a cable with a 3.5mm TRS headphone plug at one end and two RCA (also known as phono) plugs at the other end. The sound quality

Hello Frede, Thanks for that. I can't find my micrometer at the moment, but I suspect that the core diameter for the cable I've listed on eBay is likely to be somewhere in the region of 2x0.5mm2 to 2x0.7mm2. This has only one isolation layer and is in the same "OO" shape as the original Beovox 2500 cable. Outside diameter of the insulation

Hi Hemenex, I'm not sure about a mono/stereo option (I don't ever remember seeing this in the menu), but I know that the built-in aerial is often not up to the job of giving good radio reception. Why not try a good external aerial (either a portable active aerial in the room or a fixed high-gain version on your roof) and that should give you

Hi Friedmett, Yes, in this case a "straight through" 5pin DIN to 5pin DIN cable should do the job, ie. one where pin 3 goes to pin 3, pin 1 to pin 1, etc. with all 5 pins connected. I keep these in stock at 0.75m length, or I can make them to order at any length up to 100m if this is of interest? Best regards, Steve.

Hi Jeff, I do sell a compatible cable as the B&O dealers I have spoken to don't generally seem to be able to get replacements, details are here:- http://soundsheavenly.co.uk/bando-ir.htm Best regards, Steve.

No worries Ralf, I'm always happy to answer questions, especially about cables. If I'm a bit slow responding to queries, it's usually because I'm up a ladder somewhere, or asleep in a workshop full of solder fumes.... Best regards, Steve.

Hi, sorry for the delay, just saw your post! Just connect this cable to one of your Powerlink outputs and connect one or both RCA plugs to the Line Input on your sub. Job done! You can use any spare Powerlink output, either on the BeoSound or one any of the speakers, as all Powerlink sockets contain both left and right audio signals. Steve.
