You have a PM Cleve
Cleve How is the recovery from B&O addiction coming along? Simon

My C40's sound significantly better than my CX50's (The CX50's have brand new cones), and they are both inferior to my CX100's so I would guess that C75 > CX100 > C40 > CX50 You could also consider other smaller alternatives like the Beovox 1702. Simon

One good thing about building a vintage B&O system is it isn't prohibitively expensive to try a few combinations before you find what is right for you. In terms of value for money, Vintage B&O is the best value hi-fi you will find anywhere. Simon

Andy just rendered my last post entirely redundant while I was still typing it! Simon

Some B&O aerials are still sold by B&O dealers. Have you tried ringing one? Alternatively keep using the external coax and add a nice looking dual-telescopic aerial for cosmetic effect only! Simon

Glad to see it has sold, hopefully to a good home! I was tempted but I know deep down it would have been too much of a challenge to my (very limited) technical abilities to restore it to it's former glory. Simon

Thanks for the replies! Just ordered a sheet of this, I'll let you know how I get on. Foam sheet Simon

I am currently restoring a pair of CX100's that I bought for a song from ebay that have extensive foam rot. When I removed the drivers the foam that sits between the speaker drivers and the body of the speakers was missing. I am not sure what you call them but if they were on a car you would call them gaskets, hence the title of the post! Does anyone

I would be happy to bid/pay for the German speakers and be reimbursed at a later date but I speak no German at all so someone would need to contact the seller and see if he would be willing to post them to you. Simon

Congratulations on your purchase! I suggest you send a pm to the user Kingstreet or ring the branch direct (Bang and Olufsen of King street Manchester) and ask them to put you in touch with their B&O repairers. Simon
