I would be very suprised if the customer could not have got a full refund from the dealer, but even if the dealer wanted to be akward the cusomer could have got more money back than selling it to Ian grace. If he is selling the BV9 for £2500 off, how much did he buy it for?On a seperate note I personally would not touch it without a warranty,

very informative, however from reading the manual myself, I am not sure why you think that in the UK you need to buy the one with the return path. You are absolutely correct that you will need it for cable broadcasts and indeed service providers that require a feedback for pay-per-view via the RF signals but for anybody using Sky this will not be the

If you are having an issue with your BS3 and the update will solve that issue then it should be done under warranty, if you want the update just because it is an update then they may want to charge you. It all depends on the dealer, if you you have a good one and a good relationship he may well do it free anyway, if you ask.

deaddruid: meandmyshadow: There is a section of FAQ's already and in there is a section on compatability of BeoCom 6000 & BeoCom 2 phones with the various PSTN bases. Not when I look at it! It tells me "no results found" for each of BeoCom 6000 and BeoCom 2. Mark Try this link: http://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=74 You will find

deaddruid: Thank you, guys, that's really helpful, and I now understand how to differentiate the handsets. Now, one more question... How can I tell whether a base is for a mk1 or a mk2 handset? As an aside... given that there seem to be so many variants of B&O kit, would it be worth collecting details such as these into an "identification"

Alex: Connect the BeoLink Passive to the BeoSound 9000 via a MasterLink cable (your local B&O dealer should be able to help with that), making sure you also have an IR sensor on the Passive. Then, take a B&O remote control (assuming you have one), and pointing stright into the BeoSound 9000 which should be in standby (with the BeoLink passive

Alex: To increase the lifetime of the battery, run it down to as close as you can to 0%, and then charge it all the way back up in the charger. Try to avoid charging it at 50% or 70%. Running it all the way down, and then charging it all the way back up is much healthier for the battery, as with most devices such as iPods, Laptops and camera batteries

If this is happening when switching to a HD source, then it is a know issue. In the main if it is what B&O have called "HD mute" it will manifest itself as a snowstorm of colours on the screen which can look prodominantly grey. In many cases switching to a non HD source and back again can clear it.There is now a fix for this which you

I have had a BeoCom 2 for some years now and have not had these issues personally, although I have seen the charging pins stuck in a few times on other peoples phones and in every case I saw, it was because there had been some minor damage to the base, the plastic surrounding the charging pins had been knocked out of shape restricting the movement of
