Aaron, I'm very happy for you and your purchase. But please mount those speaker with a proper dry wall toggle bolt. They're easily found at your local hardware store like Home Depot or Lowes, and quite cheap. They hold quite a bit of weight, and are the next best thing to screwing directly into a wall stud. But it seems like something that would cost hardly anything to add, while making it appeal to people who already have older systems. Eh, I'm just fooling myself. I know marketing doesn't really work that way. Just wishful thinking.

Yep, it's not a very difficult solder job. I'd suggest some heat-shrink tubing too though.

Is there any good reason why that don't make the Beo5 operate the programmable and two-way features of the 90's systems? It'd be nice if rather than having to find an old beolink 5000 or 7000 to access the full potential of systems like the 4500, 6500, and 7000, you could do so with the modern remotes.

My Logitech Harmony 550 is one of the lower end Logitech remotes, but it controls my beosystem 4500 perfectly. I'm very happy with it, but haven't tried it with any of the modern B&O systems. Austin
