DVD players will be usable for years to come, definitely. The massive production of HD DVD's on either standard will have to hold on until there are enough players that justify the roll out. I don't think the BV7 upgrade will include a non standard DVD. B&O is slower when it comes to jump to last generation stuff, they will think it twice

Great post. I only go for original CD's, the same way I always bought vinil albums rather than recording them on tapes. When I bought my BS9000 back in 2001 this philosofy was even more enphasized.
