My favourite examples of b&o-on-the-telly is when it is vintage b&o that is shown. One example of this is an episode of Dexter, where an old Beogram TX (I think) turns up.

Christian: You cannot change any timing without the remote used when the program was set up. Best solution: buy or borrow a BL5000. I do not think a BL7000 or MCP6500 will delete a timer set by a BL5000. That depends on the software version of the Beolink - timers programmed with the latest bl7000 software can for example be changed with a last-revision

9 LEE: I do hope the person that wins 3rd appreciates it !! They are absolutely beautiful. Lee My plan is to win those :-)

Unfortunately, this is not possible. What you can do is to temporarily de-activate the timer - se this thread for more information: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/41427.aspx

I wish there would be a way to clear all timers. I have two BL7000s (one 1633 w 3.1 software and one 1540 with the "play next" software), and I have used both bl7000s for programming my beosystem 7000. Everything worked fine until I at one time tries to use the "suspend" function (only availabe in the older bl7000 software), since then my Light timers

Weren't the R models sold in a simpler packaging (a styrofoam box instead of the transparent plastic tubes) and without calibration data, just like the regular MMCs were sold the last couple of years? However, I doubt there was any other differences than the packaging :)

kuyttendaele: Bingo: What a silly excuse. Even Sony now comes with a lot of models including DVB-C and a HDTV tuner build in. Which you won't be able to use right out of the box BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED THE SETTOP BOX FROM YOUR CABLE COMPANY! The Sony tvs, for example, are compatible with all cable companies here in Sweden, so your point is not 100

Alex: No, this isn't the case, shift + A.Tape actually produces a different resultant signal to a simple A.Tape command. Yes, that was my and Mark's point ;-)

I agree with joeyboygolf, it is not a very practical solution, especially since the MCP afaik can't control the video routing in the beovision - it only controls the audio routing, meaning that you will be able to hear the DVD1 in your audio system but the tv's screen will not be turned on (unless you were already using it, that is).

deaddruid: I'm becoming more curious, however. I had assumed that all button presses were transmitted, and that the receiver took note of use of the SHIFT key, to work out what is going on. However, since SHIFT functions seem to be different on each of mk1, mk2 and mk3, it must be the remote which converts the SHIFT+<another key> into a code
