I think it is only supposed to slow down rather than come to a dead halt.
Still looking!
I have a pair of Mk II Pentalabs from which I will remove the amps (1 not working) and convert to passive. Midranges all done. Very good general condition. Need to urgently clear from my workroom. Located Ely, Cambs. Send pm if interested.
Bad news: the tonearm is still pointing to the sky. What is the next step? Thank you!
This normally occurs because a small plastic protrusion on the underside of the carriage has broken off. Once the cartridge is installed and the stylus weight set to the correct value, the arm should look and behave normally.

He is just using common sense. Just think about it for a moment....... If things sound too good to be true, they usually are!

I suspect that the 3000 is fried as there is no timer function that would prevent the door from opening. There is a service code Shift 90369 on the remote to lock the doors, shift 90369 again to unlock. To access the buttons you could take the glass doors off by pulling them towards you at the outside edges.

They should work fine with an Ouverture. On the side of the amps, at the display end, you will find a 3 position switch. Make sure that it is in AUDIO mode. On the back of the amps, make sure that either L or R is selected on the mode switch. You will need Mk2, sometimes called fully wired powerlink cables or the displays will not work.

Unless it is a very modern 3500 then that is a MCL socket not powerlink.
