A bit of a curates egg result then. At least you're up and running. BTW I think the sticker things was to do with the amp being able to integrate with a masterlink system through a converter. Mine was chipped so I have it working with my Avant.

It's a bit of bent wire but since most of the functions are at the front it doesn't get a lot of stress. Mine has a plastic base but I'm sure I can make something up. The only issue (possibly) is the tuning dial which I noticed has some slack and may not sit flush. I've some other work to do yet before I get to that stage but will let

I'm fortunate in our house as the whole thing is plaster boarded. The outside walls have a 25mm polystyrene inner and they are fixed to the wall with blobs of adhesive. If I want to lay a cable in I just saw a channel fit the cable put on a bit of plaster and repaper. The difficult bit is getting through the floors though as they are poured concrete

It isn't "meant" to be mounted I don't think, though there may have been a special bracket for it. There is a wire backet on it to lift the back end up a bit. I will be trying to mount mine on the wall though I think it will look great. cheers, Kevin

Excellent manuals Peter! As a result my MCP5500 is now in the bedroom because it means I have two communications in the link room! No guessing what frequency the radio is on

BFBS 1 (British Forces Radio Service) keeps me musicaly sane! radio stations here tend to have a VERY small play list if I hear Xavier Naidoo or Madonna I think I'll scream they are repeated at least5x a day Kevin
