OK. But humour me. The guy has just spent £10k on a pair of speakers. Try the Mk3 powerlinks!!!!!
-
You should be using Mk3 Powerlink cables. These are the ones with the small triangle on the plug. They were specifically designed to overcome interference problems with the new generation of speakers such as Beolab 3, 5 or 9.

Serial numbers do and it has been on the forum here http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/post/3762.aspx

The plastic remote that I have suggested above replicates all the keys on a BL1000 and costs less than £10 Using MENU and SETUP on the MX assign AV2 to VTAPE Plug the scart from the PS3 into AV2 on the MX then press VTAPE on the remote and you should have PS on screen.

With both items in option 1 they should each respond to their own commands. TV on the remote should switch on the TV with sound through the Avant speakers CD should play CD sound through the 5500 speakers Precede either command by AV to route the sound to the "wrong" speakers. f.e. AV CD would play CD sound through the Avant speakers and AV

Either you are shining a bright light on the unit or the finger sensors need cleaning. That's the small clear triangular things that stick out, one each end of the CD deck. They are probably dusty, especially if you use the 9000 in a floor stand.

Try re-setting the options. Put Avant and 5500 in standby. Then on BL1000 press SOUND 1 STORE PICTURE 1 STORE The standy by lights should blink when the command is accepted. Let me know!

You are snookered without a remote I'm afraid. You need to set up the scart to expect a VCR. Then plug in the playstation and select VTAPE on the remote and bingo, it works! Unfortunately you can't do any of this without a remote. If you don't have a B&O remote I can recommend the RUWIDO rIR9843 as a very cheap alternative.
