Friday is better for me as I have early starts and I'm on call that week. Weekend would be even better but obviously we have to consider what King Street want as I imagine Saturday would be a busy day for them. Chris.

John is absolutely right here. It is a huge question which cannot really be answered without more information as to what you intend connecting to. By far the best built ones are the 4000/40002/4004 series but due to aging components they are likely to need a bit of TLC to keep in top working condition. If you aren't capable of this type of work

shortcuttomoncton: Did anyone have any recommendations on my turntable issue? Obviously I need to loosen up these "suspension screws" which were mentioned by someone. I could just go poking around inside but I'm kind of hesitant to do so, especially considering how hard it is to get replacement parts if I mess something up. :D Is there

Christian: jonnyb: I believe Beolit was named because the first model was made from Bakelite That is correct! But why does some products have names, e.g. Penta, Ouverture and Avant, while most just have a number?? Penta is quite obvious from the 5 sided shape of the cabinets - as for the rest?????? Chris.

I have to admit to not really being a fan of the present emoticons - they seem to be trying too hard! The Yahoo ones are better (except the totally annoying Americanism "Talk to the hand & Loser" ones) I especially like the rolling around one- gotta have that! But being the old fogey that I am I still prefer the "Tom & Jerry"

Yep - lots of screws. There are indeed screws under the "V" shaped blocks which hold the straps in place. There is also a screw in the square hole in the back where the speaker wire spring terminals are which can be easily missed.. Chris.

britops: I My BS4 is sat on a B&O cabinet with a smoke black glass top (I had cut for only £5 with safety edges and a hole in the middle for the cables to be hidden). Sounds good - any chance of a photo britops ? Oh - and never ever post that gruesome BS9000 lookalikey photo again or I'll send my dogs round - OK? Chris.
