Oasis: Can anyone help me? I can get a definite answer from my dealer since most stores here won't get a BV9 until next month... Thanks. The BV9 contains a Beosystem3, so maybe you can ask your dealer about the system3 then. Or... download the manual of the BS3 or BV9 on B&O's web site.

As tu vu le prix des nouveau joujou (Beo5, DVD2, Serene II)?
-
Mike: What does "no AVL on the AUX connection" mean? Will the DVD2 need an IR sensor of its own instead of using the TV set to receive and transfer the commands of the Beo4 to the DVD player? In that case I think it is a design flaw, since I want to hide my HDR/DVD in a cabinet. Not so fast! The DVD2 has 2 Scart sockets, like the HDR1. But

Santiago: The STB only works along with a scart related in the same device, so a STB inside a BV control a box plugged into a BV scart; the STB fitted in the HDR2 only control a external box plugged in its own "AUX" scart. On new chassis TV (BV7, BV6), you can control the STB that is connected at the back of the HDR1 or V8000 with the STB

OK, the G-code socket is like a set top box controller! but from Gemstar

What is the use of a G-Code socket, first time I hear about it. Does anyone know which country has this Guide Plus thing? p.

From what I read, I do not think the DVD2 will be as limited as you think, Peter. Santiago, has the dealer got the retail price? (got to start saving!)

Stephan: Is there a Chance to control non B&O devices like Satreceivers without the STBcontroler ? (My Satreceiver includes a HDR and is not listed for the STBcontroler (BV6-22)) Yes... but it seems that it has to be configured by your dealer.

The DVD2 will be able to record from DTV or any source connected to the TV, like the HDR2. It has not STB-C, but can use the one that is inside the TV. The only limitation is that you cannot connect a Beo device on the back of DVD2 (ie: there is no AVL on the AUX connection).
