I'll be here - with a stuffed doll of PDB and nine pins Now there's an idea for the "Gifts" section (sans pins of course) or maybe a "Transformer" version - it could transform into a motorbike, handlebar mounted, ashtray or something equally useful

I do think you will need decent high ceilings for RL140's - otherwise it will be like having small garden sheds hanging in your living room
-
Never seen a pair of RL140's ceiling mounted - I hope any prospective buyer has Tudor Oak ceiling joists

Keith Saunders: I would like to add my welcome to you Paris, its good to have female members because it provides balance to many of the discussion topics. Your project sounds interesting and I would take up David's proposal. Alex might be put out!

I think you'll find, if you care to re-read my post, that I was actually making an introduction
-
We also have a rather dapper young student-type called Alex I hope you enjoy your time here, it's a lovely place - full of friendly types who will be only too pleased to help with any queries you may have

I haven't heard both side by side but given that the Lab 1's are renowned for being bass-light for their size the answer is yes. the Lab 5's have huge bass drivers and so cover the entire audio spectrum much better than the Lab 1. They are universally acclaimed for their sound reproduction, even among non-B&O followers - not something
