  • Re: Checking and adjusting belt tension

There is no provision for adjusting belt tension in any Beogram. A too loose belt will have to be replaced and a too tight belt will put a too high pull on the motor holding bracket and it's rubber grommets, sometimes even destroying the grommets. A new (correct) belt will easily stretch the small amount needed to just slip on without losening the

Great ! And quite as expected then. The 1K trimmers are a bit odd though since the originals are 220 or 250 ohms. 1K trimmers will work fine but would have been quite tough, though probably not impossible, to set just right. Also nice to have a reference to a good repair service in Canada. Martin

The service manual will show you how the Beocenter is made. It's available for download from the our main site for silver and gold members. Obviously a job for a tech guy, I wouldn't recommend you open it yourself unless you are a trained technician. Martin

  • Re: BeoCenter 7700 static

Hello and welcome to Beoworld ! There are quite a few grounding leads inside, they are all black and running from board to board and various other (metal) things. Maybe one of them has broken off, I would start looking around the processor module. Could also be a ground connection in a plug, cracked solder joint(s) or similar. Finally, capacitors can

  • Re: Beocentre 4600 - Turntable

The lifting mech has seized in the lowered position, that's very common. Do a search on the forum and you will find threads indicating a point to lubricate. Maybe your search should be for Beogram (2200/2400 or similar) rather than Beocenter, the problem is the same. Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 3000-2 heat problems

I am not sure what that "secondary supply kit" contains but 6 hours work sound a lot. Still, it doesn't sound expensive for 6 hours work. If the repair cost is acceptable is for you to decide. I've seen nice working BM3000's sell for much more than that. Martin

Martin

Yes, so that the spring won't scratch on the underside of the dustcover. Martin
