Ah, like the membranes under the later BL1000's then. A bit of a shame as these are pretty much irrepairable.

ajames: Is this what being addicted to Bang and Olufsen is about?, Andrew Er... yes

joeyboygolf: I've never seen a problem with the keyboard but from the service manual it looks similar to the type used in beolink 1000 or beo4 so I could believe it could wear out with much use. Should not be very expensive to replace. Part number is 7500270 The front of the ouverture is not difficult to take apart. Do you mean the MK1 & 2 beolink

There are 2 types available at most electronics suppliers, soldered & screw types, and cost pennies. Use any decent speaker wire and makes sure the positive side of the cable is connected to the small round post and the negative to the

bunchoffives: Hello all, I recently picked up a wonderfully cared for Beosystem 5000 with Beovox S80.2 speakers for around $300US. I have to say this is an excellent system and a real steal at that price. Enjoy it - this is one of the best ever B&O systems. All you need now is the system 5000 stand (single pole with a MDF & glass top) to finish
