Morgan - that's just what B&O dealers in the UK have been telling us for the last couple of months. New all-digital BS3-based chassis. The only issue is, when! No-one knows for sure, even the dealers.

The Beonic Man: Wish it was stereo but there we go. The only thing I miss is a lack of AM. The number of times I wanted to take it on to the terrace and listen to some football (Radio 5) but can't, as it only supports FM!

jk1002: http://www.hedmag.com/The-Latest-The-Best/BANG-OLUFSEN-LCD-TV.asp Confirms that US BV7 is built on BS3. Absolutely no-one has said it won't be based around a BS3. However, have you ever seen the size of the BS3 and the BV7-40? You can't simply stick a BS3 on the back of a BV7 - it will be too large and cumbersome (it's already very

The Beonic Man: There has been a lot of talk in recent posts about the revised BeoVision 7-40 due to arrive in August/September I've been told November for the UK, now. Anyway, how many topics can we possibly create on this new BV7? There is no more news :-/

jk1002: >>Same number of connections and BS3, same picture improvments, same sound connections, same cinema capabilities<< Then I highly doubt that Europe will see the same. An improved chassis over there, maybe. A full blown BS3 no way at the same price point that they have now. B&O aren't going to produce two different versions

Saw the BV8 today connected to a HD source and I must say the screen was absolutely spot on and certainly a lot brighter than my (now old) BV7-32. Wasn't too dissimilar to the BV9, which was showing the same HD channel. Getting to like this TV, a lot. Looking forward to the 32". I'm thinking this, flanked by two BL3s, and an updated BC2

Peter: Now having said that, there will always be advances and the next generation will be better. But that too will be eclipsed by the one after that... You're right, but then the next generation is due very soon (within the next 6 months), whereas the one after that won't be due any time soon. If I was going to buy a BV7 now, I'd certainly

tom: Great news! Does this only count for the 40" version or for the 32" version as well? So far, info is only for the 40¨ version. From what I've been told, the 32¨ will keep the 768 screen, although there is no word on any BS3 integration for this model, either.

wtlc2zpx: Where did you see the TV? The Bath B&O store have a BV8 on display, too. I think it's ok. I like the rubberised feel and sound is good, too. Would make a good TV for the bedroom or as a media unit in an office environment.

Hamburg: I agree, I just ordered mine and will arrive in about 2 weeks We've been discussing the new BV7 for months on this board. It's due in the States first (any time now) and in Europe around July/August. The 40¨ model will have a mini-BS3 incorporated, 1080p screen and HDMI input. No upgraded DVD player though, from what I've been
