Beolab: So for does ho say the BV 7-40 cant be any better in performance because the panel limit and because it old and poor blablabla...., have totally wrong here!.. Do your homework before u wright some jealous bull **** next time in the forum tanks! 1) You started the topic and we answered to the best of our ability. You shouldn't really be changing

Gerd: The next BV7 will be 40-MKIII. And here is what the EU-backpanel will look like Looking good. However, I'm confused and no-one seems to be able to answer this: What about the BV7-32? We know that an EU version of the HDMI-based BV7-40 is forthcoming. However, surely the BV7-32 isn't going to remain with a single DVI socket? That would

Puncher: iPhone is way too big to be an every day in-yer-trouser-pocket phone. That's exactly what I think. I'm quite fussy about the size of my phone (particularly the width) and the new iPhone is around the same size as the video iPod, which is too wide for a mobile phone.
-
Beolab: This is on DVD not external signals. One thing I forgot to mention is that my gloomy picture particularly applies to the internal DVD player. If I watch the same movie on Sky HD or BBC HD, the picture is sharper and brighter than the same movie played through the DVD player.

Beolab: Does anyone have some info how i can increase the lightning on the BV 7-40:s service menu? I have tuned up the brightness and contrast, but i feel its to dark anyways...! If you think your BV7-40 is dark, you should see my old MK-1 BV7-32! Some DVDs, for example, are so bad that they are almost unviewable (The Da Vinci Code is a good example

jvezina: "Why have a 1080p TV with a DVD player integrated and not have a 1080p DVD?" You're right. Considering that the BS3-based BV7-40 also upscales normal DVDs, I'm not sure if a HD/Blu-ray DVD player is a necessity. Most people still own regular DVDs and, over in the UK at least, Blu-ray DVDs are twice as expensive (or more!)
-
Beolab: I'm so envious you guys! =;..(( If you wait 2 months you'll find that you'll be able to buy or order the new BS3-based BV7-40 in Sweden. I know it's due for launch in the UK in around September. Personally speaking, I'd be seriously annoyed with my dealer if he let me buy the current BV7-40 now, with a vastly updated model

I can't stand my BV7 DVD player. The same movie on, say, BBC HD, is more clear, vibrant and brighter than watched via DVD on the BV7 DVD player. A DVD-based movie such as The Da Vinci Code is so dark on my BV7, that's it is almost unbearable. No idea if watching the same DVD on the Beocenter 2 is any better, but it can't be any worse.

It's not even available in the US yet (it's not available to order). It will appear in the UK, shortly after the US launch, probably around September. I wonder what they're going to do with the BV7-32 though? I can understand there's no need for a 1080p screen, but surely they can't keep the current chassis and have a 4 x HDMI based

Foxtrott: The first generation of BV7-32 has a 16ms panel. The change to the 8ms panel was about the same tim BV7-40 was introduced. I do not remember the type number of the 16ms generation (info was in the old forum). The difference between the 16ms panles and the 8ms panles is noticeable. I'd agree with this. I have a MKI BV7-32 and recently
