• Re: B&O Speakers.

I'm sure we all share the problem of how to display the collection (or even just how to store them...). If you want to have a number of speakers displayed both nicely and in a useful way, the problem will be even worse. I'd guesstimate that three pairs is about the maximum you can have in a single "normal" room, still positioned optimally

  • Re: faulty MMC-2?

The MMC2 I had retipped by Axel seems a bit on the long side too, the cap touches the stylus as well when it is flipped down. Solved this problem by not using the cap, which I wouldn't normally do anyway...
Now I can again take a closer look to my older 1902. It played fine for 2 weeks, and then it began to drag

  • Re: B&O Speakers.
My next interest is the separates systems over the period where stereo came into use, starting with Beomasters for instance. The basic units are not too difficult to come by but speakers are more scarce. This is why I thought of using modern speakers so that I could actually play them.
Still I find the idea of

I have rigged up a similar Dell SFF for my girlfriend! She needs to use a BM900K with the built-in speakers though How do you like the sound of the 1700? I still have a place for something of that form factor, and I've never seen nor heard one of these...
Mika, Would you

Well, how about glueing... oh never mind

  • Re: Beogram 6500 lid gap

Actually I think the sag might develop all by itself. It takes very little force to bend the lid back into shape - I believe a strip of L shaped thin sheet metal sandwiched between the lid and hinges would keep it straight, with nothing visible on the outside. Or just a bar of stiff plastic glued on the underside. Edit: after closer inspection, maybe

Same as my 6500 and 7000... about the width of one rib on the rear cover. Funny that the gap is there, but seems to be by design. Although I find the sag that develops if any stuff is kept on the lid far more annoying!

  • Re: Amplifier or Receiver for RL6000 speakers

Welcome, Robert Good choice on the speakers. RL6000's are very good all-round performers. You can run them off pretty much anything - I actually had mine connected to a Beomaster 900M for a while and it sounded surprisingly good! Not too loud, obviously... these speakers are designed for much more power. BM3000/4000/4400 would be a good choice,

Hurry up Chris, we want to see it! These models seem somehow neglected on the forum. Can't see why, I've always liked the looks.
