I have seen this fault before and a new CD VAM pcb cured it. Apparently it is a know fault on the earlier models and loads of them were done under warranty. Too late for this one! It's PCB 40 Part Number 8005430 I did the job myself but it is quite involved.

The beocenter 9000 can be controlled with the beo4 in the same way as with bl1000. All functions except opening the doors. Most simple tasks on 5500 can be performed like select source and volume etc. Would recommend MCP5500 though

I would not be surprised if the LCS9000 has defaulted back to ML rather than MCL. Try re enabling the MCL on the LCS via the service menu. Unfortunately I can't find a reference to how to do this so I'm not much help!!!!!!! Somebody on here must know????

This will probably require a minor re-alignment of the doors/mechanisn but it is not a job for the feint hearted. Good luck with the Cambridge dealer!!

This is usually a matter of selecting the correct pair of RCA's on the adaptor (2 are inputs and 2 are outputs) and select AUX on the 9000. Try to eliminate the DVD player as the problem by connecting something else to the adaptor (try a VCR). Are you connected to the correct socket in the 9000?

The Stig - ver. 1.3: Note: 1 out of 4, the PCB has the fault... (beo4) Not in my experience. So far, every one has been fixed by the new display. Maybe I've just been lucky!

The kit includes basic instructions for fitting, The display on th 5000 cannot easily be replaced so best to live with it. This has always been the problem with the BL5000 and why their second hand value is so poor. Most have pixels missing and their is no cure as far as I know.
