• Re: LinkPlayer 2 Feedback thread
Can their IR control B&O, which is on an unusual frequency?
Out of interest, I took a quick look and struggled to find a straight answer - however, the software specs allow for a carrier from 32 to 500 kHz, so it should be good to go. They smell expensive, though...

  • Re: B&O Studiomonitor type 6257

That's an interesting find! Nice to see them used for pretty much their original purpose as well All those stickers might be interesting to see. The amps might even be DR's own design, small series stuff like that was sometimes built in-house at broadcasting companies back in those days. I suppose there's a trimmer for level calibration
What do you mean? Have I been rude or complaining about members talking about the off-topicness of my topic? I moved my thread promptly, before you did, when I found, with the help of Koning and Moxxey, that my post wasn't in its right place.
Of course you haven't been rude, Edouard! But you started

This was indeed off topic in the General forum, but passable under the People & Lifestyle charter. Since this thread had a number of replies already, I opted to move this and delete the other one (with no replies yet). Go ahead, and remember that as of now, any discussion on the off-topicness of this thread is off topic!
Well, in reference to an ealrier point - £5 a month is not a lot to pay for all that content, advert-free.
No it's not, but if I'm to pay for music, I'd like at least some of that money going to the artists, so I'll rather just continue to buy records (or mostly just listen to the radio
Perhaps - but the PC version ( which I guess the basis of the BS5 app) is solid in my experience. Used via my Beolink system for several hours a day probably 4 or 5 days a week, and I don't recall it crashing once in recent months. Is the apple app maybe dropping out with mobile connection issues ?
Maybe

  • Re: Masterlink vs. cat7

For Masterlink, the most important thing is that both sides of a balanced signal are carried in the same twisted pair in the cable. If the pairs are split, I'm sure they cabling will pick up all kinds of interference from anything that happens to be nearby (in addition to internal crosstalk). In the chart misteUS posted above, this is done correctly

  • Re: Why to invest in second hand CRTs

If it does, I have another equally nice - I'll give 50 euros discount as it doesn't have the sat module

  • Re: Masterlink vs. cat7

Just delivering Masterlink doesn't need that much. In many cases, I'm sure even CAT5 will do. But, it has been stressed that the future Beonet - whatever that will be - requires CAT7. I don't think shielding is the decisive factor, it is the general characteristics of the cabling. So if you want to be future proof and are doing a new install
Right on! But I've changed mine (another mood now).
I was at a tender age when that series was on so I remember her well (Sorry, Jacques. But there's really not much else we could say about your cartridge until you get the other one for comparison )
