When did the BeoSystem 3 become HDMI 1.3 compliant? I had understood that the BeoSystem 3 was still only HDMI 1.1.

JK, while I don't agree about paid updates for such an already expensive device, I do agree that B&O is missing something by giving their attention to TVs at the expense of the new music platform. It's a shame that B&O has put off production of the new link room music product in order to produce the larger BV10. I've always thought

Razlaw, you are correct. I've been enjoying 7.1 LPCM on my BeoSystem 3 using all 7 speakers. After a lot of research, I've found that the issue with the BeoSystem 3 not playing the rear speakers in a 7 speaker setup with 5.1 LPCM blu-rays is an issue with "matrixing." The BS3 is not able to matrix 5.1 LPCM sound to use all 7 speakers

Thank you, Peter. I see that you magically lowered my screen with photoshop! Unseen in the photo are a second pair of BeoLab 8000s for the side surrounds and a pair of BeoLab 6000s for the rear speakers.
