  • Re: the mac pro : not QUITE as upgradeable as you might think...

Maybe I'm missing what you're saying. You're saying that a Mac G5 tower is stuck with the installed video if you don't get the upgrade right then and there when you buy it? This isn't true. I upgraded both my AGP card and got a second video card (PCI) so that I could have 4 monitors hooked up. edit: oh wait, I understand now. Right

  • Re: (new Apple portable computer?!)

Why would anyone by a laptop without Applecare? That's 3 years that you can do anything to it and they'll fix it. Best 300 bucks you'll ever part with.

  • ipod touch/remote buddy question

Does anyone know how to make the Remote Buddy change playlists? When I hit the playlists button it only shows the songs in the current playlist.

  • Re: DVD 1 speculation

No machines are legally multi-region as standard. They all have to be hacked or else the manufacturers risk the big hammer of the MPAA's lawsuit machine hitting them on the noggin.

  • Re: DVD 1 speculation

I've had two Philips home units, a Philips HTS, a Philips portable, and I've bought Philips DVD players for other people. Every single one of them had an available hack on the internet, usually consisting of plugging it in and typing a few numbers on the remote. I'd go to your local store and make a list of DVD players they have and then

  • Re: Beosound Century vs Beosound 1

Have you thought about a Beolink 3500 connected to your Beosound 4? Sounds good and looks really nice. Now that I've upgraded my BL3500 to the newest software and can access everything that the BS4 can do, I've just retired my Century... temporarily. I can't bring myself to sell it. I might take it to my girlfriend's place and force

Why exactly do you want one of these anyway?

  • Re: Windows Media Center, Beoport or Mac Mini?

I have a beoport connecting my Mac Mini to my BS4 and then I also have an airport express going to the AUX input of the BS4 in case I want to play music from a different Mac. Works like a champ. The Mini also goes to my TV. Oddly, you can then watch a movie and have the sound come through the beoport to the stereo as well, if this is something you're

  • BL3500 and A.Aux, redux

Hi, A long time ago I got a BL3500 and was having A.Aux issues. Just so you know, when you upgrade the BL3500 to software 2.1 (it only took me three months, woot) you can, indeed, select A.Aux through the BL3500. This makes having a music server and wi-fi a joy, especially with the iphone remote.

  • Re: Leopard and BM-Link compatability

I have BM-Link 1.50.1, Beoport version 1.21, and itunes 7.4.2 under OS 10.5.1. The color keys work but the >> and << keys don't. The up and down keys do. The number pad does sometimes. As in, it doesn't seem to do anything in N.Music but it will change the channel in N.Radio. And THAT'S how you report a problem to tech support
