thanks for the offer Graham, but I wonder what the 8 inch ( 205mm ) Peerless woofers would cost these days, does anybody have any good suggestions on where to buy Peerless stuff other than ebay or Wilmslow thanks Peter

I have some RL60.2 speakers in the bedroom, so I will take one of them to Radio Silks next week and ask them what comes closest to that for you Henri

thanks Peter, I looked there first, but scanned it too quick, silly me ! unfortunately the pair of stands I saw today are too big then, does anybody know where I can buy S80 stands from ??? either copies or original, I have been looking for over 5 years now with no luck :-(

Hi Everyone, if I may ask a favour, can anyone tell me the width and depth of the bottom of a Beovox S80 or S80.2 speaker I am going back to a shop tomorrow to buy some stands that could be perfect for my pair of S80.2's , but I am 250 miles away from home thanks Peter

I agree with you, pretty much all the revised Uniphase range of Beovox speakers sound good with the BS 5000 family :-)

What about RL140's?
Fine - as long as you sit up close.
interesting, I would disagree, Tim Jarman has BM5500 with RL140's and I was listening to them about 20 feet away on his sofa, they sounded all right to me, we played various types of music on his Beogram
Hmmm... Has anyone else tried the "Tim Jarman Fix" on their BM 5500/6500/7000? Is it a worthwhile improvement -- how exactly does the sound quality change? Aaron
you should definately do it, I have heard all the Beomasters in the BeoSystem 5000 family, and the extra 4 x 220nF capacitors C215, C216, C415

how easy is it to get replacement plastic / acrylic fronts for the BS 5000 family ?? I have one unit I would like to replace, it is 42cm wide and 2cm high, I guess the colour matching is the critical thing :-)
