RussR: http://www.gizmag.com/fed-flat-panel-display-technology-sony/9635/ How do they expect to survive if they don't produce one of these by the Holiday season this year? Let the Doomsaying begin. Russ I dont think that the survival of B&O is reletive to the early adoption of these technologies. The Sony oled 17" has simply the worst life

pedrompinto: I was wondering which product best suits BeoSystem3, BV4 or non B&O like Pionner Kuro ? What's your opinion / advice ? Thanks in advance. if you do a search you will find all this has been discussed before. In a nutshell. The pioneer Kuro- with its own processing arguably produces better results that the BV4 with BS3. problem is

j0hnbarker: With commodity prices holding up so well, perhaps B&O could develop some class-leading gold extrusion technology for the frame of the BV7. That way, when the panel is obsolete in <12mths, at least the customer will get a good trade in down the local metal exchange. This is the only sensible way of justifying the purchase!

TerryM: Given the current economic downturn, and the imminent price increase,I was wondering what sales incentive(s) B & O could offer to attract potential buyers. Two possibilities spring to mind, viz a standard 5 years warranty, and, where required, free firmware updates during the warranty period. The latter would naturally become less, and less, necessary

TerryM: Flappo The Grate: while my avant is still actually worth something !!! nuff said A minimum £500 px upto 31/7. My understanding is that the dealer contributes half of this out of their profit

In the past im sure money invested in a BS9000 or any of the speakers was well advised. But for vision other than a basic LCD its moving very fast- changed format accepted. BS2 and early BV4 turned out to be the most unfortunate investment. Lee from your perspective it doesnt matter and you will always have a ,market beacuse you can respond to the pricing

Christian: Puncher: 355f: SecretSheep: Just heard two humans walking to the canteen talking about price rises in the UK. To keep up with the weak pound and inflation, prices really should have gone up over 9% - however, a price rise of 2% is all that will happen. Bjorn (PS - "Baa-aa-ah") How long will sales and profits have to collapse at

tIRED: With the risk of repeating a few comments I'd like to say the following. 1. I have both a 4-50 (BS3 BL7.2 4*8000 BL2) and two 7-40 (MKII, BL7.4 4*8000) and both are great sets. The plasma performs somewhat better watching HD-_movie_content. The LCD is abit sharper (which tends to be better when watching traditional TV-content). The 7-40 looks

akeithj: 355f - Does you analogy apply equally to the BV 4, or is it specific to the BV 7 ? I think one has to have the items on test to make a proper judgement, if your buying because you like the package that the BV7 offers thats a worthy reason to buy it. But it makes no sense to post stating its the best LCD picture on the planet when it is not

akeithj: To use an anlogy from the car world, I suppose it's a bit like comparing the new Nissan GT-R and a Ferrari 430. I don't think there is any question that the Nissan is a technological tour deforce and will be quicker around the Nurburgring than the Ferrari, but which car would you rather have.? I think for some people at least there
