When I hook up my PC to my Beosound 2000 via Aux. input, I can adjust the volume on either the PC or the Beosound. Is there a preferred method in order to maximize sound quality since I'd like to record the output using the Beosound's tape deck? Should I crank up the volume all the way on my computer and use the Beosound to turn it down, or

Since he needs at least a receiver, CD Player, and turntable, AND amount of space taken up is an important factor, I think it comes down to one of the stackable systems, whether the 5000, 5500, 6500, or 7000. Ok - I just tested mine, and that's what it's supposed to do. I thought it made a clicking sound but it doesn't. I'm afraid I don't know then. Try rebooting it - unplug it for a while and try again. Of course you'll have to re-enter the PIN #. If that doesn't work it's got a more serious problem.

Try pressing the mute button. If you don't hear a clicking sound, could be it's stuck on mute.

Plug an earphone into the 3200 (output located in front on the bottom right). Do you get sound? Not a good thing if you don't.

With any cartridge, better a little too heavy than too light.

On page 4 of the Beosound 1 User Manual, under Maintenance they state: "We do not recommend using special cleaning CD's in the Beosound 1". Anyone know why? I've used them to great success in the past and am therefore curious.

The price at the Liverpool store is £300. Opman
That would put it at $495.00 in the US?
Precisely what I paid for my Bose Wave Radio/Cd Player. Which will not be displaced from my bedstand by a Beotime any time soon.

A light wax such as Novus #1 Clean & Shine should hide them. I use Johnson Wax's Klean 'n Shine but that's not available any more.
